Letter From Membership Vice President
Dear Potential New Members,
With at least one semester under your belt I’m sure you’ve come to find there are many opportunities to get involved with clubs and organizations here on Indiana University of Pennsylvania’s Campus. I hope that you consider taking the opportunity to go through formal recruitment in the spring at IUP. Each chapter here at Indiana has their own unique personality and wide arrangement of fantastic women, and because of this you may be able to find your best fit on campus if you haven’t done so already.
Alpha Xi Delta’s sisterhood encourages women to realize their true potential. We take pride in encompassing the pillars of the Greek Community: academic achievement, leadership in the community, philanthropic service and lifelong friendship. Becoming an active member of a Greek organization has more meaning than most may be aware, not only are the sisters of the Delta Nu chapter attentive students but also active in other organizations on campus. The sisters of Alpha Xi put the utmost effort in reaching out the not only other chapters but the Indiana, Pennsylvania community as a whole. Through such service we are able to share sisterly bonds that signify true, life-long and genuine friendship.
For the sisters of Alpha Xi Delta, Spring Formal Recruitment is one of the most exciting times in our chapter. I encourage you to come out and see what each chapter on campus has to offer this spring. Making adjustments into college life can be hard; I had a difficult time myself coming from having a very large support system at home to only a few close friends at college. Upon receiving my bid in Fall 2013, Alpha Xi lead me to grow into a version of myself I can truly say I am proud.
The sisters of AXiD are overly ecstatic to begin the process of getting to know you, and hope that when you are trying to find the right fit in the Greek community and are picturing where you believe you can find women to call your sisters, our Delta Nu chapter comes to mind.
